You are studying abroad – a new start – a new milestone – exciting times. You have chosen Brisbane to study. Its a great place to be.

Homestays are the most popular accommodation option for students who study at Bespoke Grammar. Homestay accommodation provides students with a safe and secure, caring, and rewarding environment with an Australian host family. Homestay is about experiencing Australian culture with a local family, and allows students to improve their English faster and more efficiently by conversing with their hosts. Every homestay family provides students with a room, daily meals, a warm welcome and a chance to improve your English at home as well as at school.

At Bespoke Grammar we are proud of the quality of our Homestay options. All of our host families are carefully and systematically selected, and homes are regularly inspected by members of our staff. We take into consideration your interests and aspirations, in order to properly match you with a family who we know will give you a great Australian experience.

Homestays provide a great way to know more about the Australian way of life and to speak English every day, all in a comfortable and safe family setting. There is no better way to practice the English you learn in class than with your Australian family around the dinner table.

Bespoke Grammar offers students a range of Homestay options to suit them with the safest and most accommodating experience.

Single Homestay

Students will have their own private room equipped with bed, desk and other bedroom furniture. Students are encouraged to join in the day to day life of the host family. Includes breakfast, dinner and three meals per day and on weekends.

Share Homestay

Share Homestay is the same as Single Homestay, however students will share their room with another guest or international student. This is a popular option for couples or students travelling with friends.

Junior Homestay

Junior Homestay is provided for specifically students under the age of 18. This Homestay option ensures a safe, inviting local family who are prepared to accept the extra responsibility of caring for a Junior student. Many Junior Homestays also have children at home. Please note that students under the age of 18 are REQUIRED to live in this type of homestay accommodation and that all meals are provided for Juniors.

Homestay Bed and Breakfast

Homestay Bed and Breakfast Much like the Single Homestay option, a Homestay Bed and Breakfast provides students with a fully furnished room, breakfast each morning and access to a kitchen where they can prepare their own lunch and dinner meals. Homestay B&B is a popular option among students who are looking for more freedom and independence, or who are planning on exploring Brisbane in the evenings. Typically, this option is recommended for students 18 and older.

Making contact with your host family

Many students are excited to make contact with their host family prior to arrival in Australia, which is highly recommended.
Roughly a month before your scheduled departure date, we will send you a host family profile, including information about the family, as well as images of the house and the surrounding area. We will also provide an email address or other contact information for the family, so you can get to know them before arriving in Australia.
